Doe sanyone have any good advive on extending the wiring so i can run apes. I already have the clutch, idle, throttle, and brake line. I just need to extend the wires. Are there existing harness extenders, or is it just easier to splice on about 8 inches of wire to the stock harness. Also How many wires are going to each hand control. I would like to run the wires internal, but as always time and money prevail, and the will probably be ziptied to the bars externally.

Splice it using solder. Stagger your solder joints if you are doing the splice on what will be inside the bars. Use good quality shrink tube.

I went to the HD dealer and bought a set of pins and sockets, the same as the ones that are used in the Deutch connectors inside the headlite bucket or under the seat. I cut the wire and connected a 4" piece with the pins and sockets. I did not solder because i really suck big time at soldering. But they should be soldered. Mine are working just fine so far. I covered the pins&sockets with shrink tube, and disappeared them into the handlebars thru a double width 7/16" hole.
