Matt ted 18th November 2006, 18:58 There are a few classes for 1200cc Sportsters. When I was racing with the AMRA there were three 1200 classes. A-stock, Superstock and Modified. The rules have changed since when I was running Superstock XL class. When I was running, it was a bolt on parts only, no headwork rule. Air shift, wheelie bars allowed. I set the 1/4 mile et record in 1996 @ 10.81. Record certificate in my gallery. That record held till around 2001 when they allowed ported heads. I'm thinking the SS/XL record has to be in the low 10s high 9s now. Modified 1200 has to be low 9s by now. Look up AMRA and AHDRA for info on Harley only dragracing.
