Definitely B. Maybe we should start a poll! :laugh:laugh:laugh
I vote "B" too, however, if you have small children I have a good argument for option "A".
If one installs the paper exiting the rear side off the roll as in option "A" and a small child spins it down (and in most cases they will spin it down, ask me how I know) the paper will not come off the roll.
If the paper is installed exiting the front of the roll as in option "B" and a small child spins it down, they will not stop until the roll is emptied all over the bathroom floor. :geek

I am forced to disagree with your there. Whether one's bog roll is configured as in A or B, the mass of the toilet roll will be the same, it will be bearing down on the holder with the same force, and one would be pulling down on the free end with the same force, therefore one would be generating the same amount of friction.
If one wished to increase the friction exerted on the bog roll, i.e. to increase the damping effect, one only has to install a "swinging" holder such as Gomorley has in his small room, whereby the roll is also bearing on the wall. Of course, a painted wall will give more friction than a shiny, tiled surface.
So is it this http://tbn3.google.com/images?q=tbn:yTkrSkxzt0QYRM:http://silkrc.com/chinadialogs/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/roll.jpg this http://tbn3.google.com/images?q=tbn:HqrnIaIT8jGoqM:http://sineadkeogh.files.wordpress.com/2008/11/toilet_roll_edgeofrollfacingwall.jpg
With the friction factor being equal in both configurations, I have a definite preference for B, the tail end of the paper being better presented for a quick grab and easy tear-offs. In fact, I have to admit that I am one of the aforementioned people who is prepared to go so far as to turn the roll around if presented with one in the A configuration. :)

If using a straight holder, (a non swinging one designed to hold it against the wall ) you will find that with an equal amount of force, Lets say a Spirited pull, you will end up with paper on the floor if your roll is configured with B. while with A you will not end up with it on the floor. it has to do with friction as mentioned as well as dynamic principles that I do not want to get into in this thread.. However, since this has spawned some debate, I think it's about time to put up a poll..

Besides, everyone knows putting the TP on the holder is a waste of time and effort. Its much more efficient to simply set the roll on the back of the toilet.

With B the pull is nearly horizontal, so there is almost no component of the force which is downward on the toilet roll. With A the pull tends to be more downward, increasing the friction between the toilet roll and the holder.

Don't know the year, but it's a Beech T-34B Mentor, still in use by USN for training pilots. Good guess.
Plans are to display it on our now functional port aircraft elevator, which will be used to transport visitors from the hanger deck to the flight deck.

They took me out over the Jersey shore. Did a few rolls and stalls. When I was ready to puke, the pilot told me to take control. His logic was that if I was concerned about flying, I wouldn't have time to puke! (It worked!)

Brimic you are an ass and the pic in post with the seal should be removed.
This is one of the cruelest and most controversial practices in the world.
While a bit twisted I can see the humor in that pic.......as for cruel and controversial practices you must live a pretty sheltered life if you think that's the worst of mans capabilities.....Nah, not even close

Nature is cruel and Inuits have probably been getting their boot material this way for 10,000 years before people a 1/2 a world away had the luxury of free time to worry about the fate of killer whale canapes.
Wear a leather jacket? Sit on a leather saddle? Where does that come from? A leather tree?

FAR from sheltered
Just doesn't need to be on "here".
Doesn't need to be displayed as "funny"
Has nothing to do with what anybody wears.
It is sadistic and can be displayed somewhere that you two look at sadistic pics.
