Sobering shot of an SUV that got lit up by mistake, by an F16 driver near the air-ground gunnery range outside Dugway, Utah.The 'light paint and body damage' is the result of a one-quarter-second burst by the fighter's 20 mm gun, which fires about 3000 rounds per minute. An estimated 70 rounds left the gun; the results are as you see here.

What's even more astonishing is - the SUV was being driven at the time. The driver and the guy in the right-hand passenger seat escaped with some light glass injury to the driver, and a dislocated shoulder to the passenger. The shots hit the gas tank, but didn't explode; the gas just leaked out.

The passenger who normally sits in the back seat had just moved to another vehicle.

The vehicle was on the military reservation, but a full three MILES away from the gunnery range.

There's a particular mindset associated within the military and as I am learning within ALL bureaucracies, my battalion commander once told me while planning a troop insertion mission:

We don't have to be "efficient" we only have to be effective.

example: we needed 3 aircraft to insert 30 troops to an LZ, I put together 3 aircrews and 3 aircraft, the CO told me to add 3 more aircraft...

I guess the point is, they don't care about the other 65 rounds, the target was destroyed, end of mission...

In NJ a few years ago an F16 pilot missed the range and hit a school. Another dropped a flare and started a forrest fire.

Cape Flattery is as far North West as you can go on the lower 48.
The ride to this place is almost as phenomenal.
Just have to watch for critters early morn and towards dusk.After dark would be like riding through the zoo.
Deer,elk,black bears,coyotes,and one person claims she saw a wolf.
I found it dangerous during the day 'cause there is too much to look at with windy roads

In User CP under edit options you'll find "Number of Posts to Show Per Page" change no then "" simples :)

I’d like to thank whatever twisted individual who had the foresight to have the imagination to create this brilliant piece of art. I mean we’ve seen plenty of pictures of cartoons as humans. Hell we’ve seen plenty of cartoon “porn.”

Wow! Those are the exact same risers I had on my 56' Triumph chop, only about half the length. My Z-bars were about half the length in height also. Mine were on a springer that was waaaaayyyyyy long. My neighbor helped me cut it down.
