I learned on a Sunfish then went to a 14' Hobie Cat then to the Capri 14.2. They are all good boats.

Makes me wonder what became of the pilot. Good find Chris.

Other stories I read was they believe he tried to walk out. The battery and radios were found removed so he must have tried to get the radio to work. His chute was found tied to the side of the plane which they believe indicates he was trying to use it for shade.

Initially I believe this was a flight of 2 and they got split up.

I heard about that I am sure the entire warbird community is anxious to see if these are in as good of condition as the article makes them seen. I did read that someone may be trying to get them before the guy who found them can which would be a shame. The story I read was one of the backers he approached is trying to cut him out and get them for themselves.

Actually, these are the Flight Instruments from Space Shuttle Enterprise, used during its free-flight trials... the missing instruments and panels were cannibalized and installed on Columbia... unfortunately, those were lost with Columbia and her crew.

Going along with the awesome eclipse photo that ColinB just put up (but no way near as cool)..I was walking out to fire up my Sporty this evening when I noticed all of these weird shapes on the side of my old work van. It took me a minute to figure out that the trees behind the house were filtering the sunlight and making a plethora of "pin-hole" projectors that are used to view eclipses when welding shades aren't available. Unfortunetly all that I had with me was my ever cheesy cellphone. As I putted down the road I saw the same thing everytime I passed under a tree that was shading the road. I'm sure that this thing happens all of the time during an eclipse but I guess that I never noticed it before....Earth to Flash.......Earth to flash...over.

I would argue that the Shelby Cobras that took down the house of Ferrari in the '60s have better design (not to mention powerplant, suspension, drivetrain, aerodynamics).
