So ... I was putting some stuff up on E-Bay tonight, and I go out to the garage to see what's there, Check this out:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=004&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=140058060027&rd=1&rd=1

But I also remembered this tail light I got as a gift

And I got to thinking how it would look on the Sporty.
Here's my old tail light, cracks and all:

Whadda ya think? What's it called? What's it worth? should I put it on the Sporty, since the fender is coming off anyways? or, should I replace the stock tail light lens and sell this thing on E-Bay?

I've always known them as Model A Taillights. New ones retail for $60.00 at some websites. I'd mount it.

I vote "put it on there" - I think it would look slick! or "sick", as my sons would say.

My dos centavos. :D

Yup, its a Ford Model A style light. I like the one's with "STOP" embedded in amber glass on the top lens. Definitely looks better than the sparto light everyone uses.

Cheers,

Hey Baazzoo,

I think you should mount it up!!

If you decide not to, give me a yell before you put it
on EBay, I'll buy it off you.

Can it be "flush" mounted? A hole saw for clearance might do the trick.

Hey Bigbazoo if you decide not to use it, let me know before you buy another lense for the stock light I have two spare lenses sittin in the corner of the diningroom Ill send you the good one for just the cost of the shipping.

Heres a pic of the Vincent style P.O.S. V-twin tail light I bought off of ebay. It cost me $50 and probably only cost $2 to make it. I was a bit dissapointed to say the least, but used it any way. I made the mounting plate using a flat peice of steel and part of an old license plate holder I had lying around. Just bolted it right to the lower shock bolt, works just fine.
