Huh??? I guess so since the normal price is 25% higher. Sounds like a discount to me.

JMHO, but a superbrace is a total waste of money on a Harley. If your bike has a high speed wobble, the brace will do nothing to correct it. Spend that money on a steering damper.

I'd like to see a group buy on something useful like tires or brakes.

Any feedback from people who have one already? Are they worth over $100? Why doesn't HD put cheap piece of aluminum on if there is such a benefit?

I'll install it this weekend and go for a ride where I was having the flex and give a ride report either way. The flex may be somewhere else too.

also I opened the package and it says 30 day money back guarantee so if you don't like it send it back no questions asked. Can't beat that. Except for some who can't ride in the next 30 days won't know if they like it or not if they want to get in on the group buy. Looks beefier than I expected it to look

I got mine in last years group buy. The difference wasn't night/day, but there was a difference. Combined with the Progressive fork springs and heavier fork oil, the improvement got better. And now that I have the ME 880s on, my Sporty could be on "Dancing With The Stars".

Back to the SuperBrace, installation was easy. Fit was exact and finish (polished aluminum) looks great. I rode with it for a while before doing springs/oil upgrade and noticed a loss of some wallowing in bumpy turns. I would say that I got more than my $$$ worth.

Oh, btw, my price last year was only a little higher than this years deal. Go for it!

Even with conservative riding, will there be a benefit to tire wear or anything? Don't get me wrong, I'll push it occasionally.

Just got mine, but it started raining as soon as I got it so I haven't tried it out. Althought I haven't ridden with it mounted I can definitely say that it is an extremely high quality piece and I am impressed! :)

We had a short delay in production for the 39mm #5183 SuperBraces. If you ordered a polished 39mm SuperBrace within the last week, it was billed and shipped yesterday and the hard black anodized braces will be billed and shipped next week.

On the group buy page there are a bunch of different models of sportster listed, but no 1200S. Would the same brace that fits the 1200R fit the 1200S? I wouldn't think there would be a difference between the two front ends as far as the brace would be concernded. Is there? I might be interested in the 5183B.

You just need the part number for the 39mm forks. It's the same part number for all of the 39mm bikes. I don't understand their system, but mine fits and I think the one I ordered said 1200r.

5183B is the black one and will work for your bike. Enjoy!

ordered mine yesterday and waiting for superbrace arrival, just one more goodie and loving it

I got a Superbrace through the group buy. It arrived today and was installed shortly thereafter.

Even though the weather was on the cold side and threatening rain, I had to give it a road test.

Simply put, I am very pleased. I am not sure how much is group confidence vs actual mechanical improvement; but, I ran through a number of my favorite roads with the nice twisties and it really felt solid. I added an easy 5 MPH and felt better doing it. The wind was at 25 MPH with gusts to 32 so I was being a little conservative to leave room for a shove from a gust.

For total of $121.20, I am very pleased. I wish the bolts were SAE Allens rather than metric... I had to find something to bitch about.

Well I have some good news and some bad news.

Bad news is at this time Superbrace can not do a group buy. They only have one a year and the last finished right before the end of 2006.

They would like to do one but it would cause problems for them among their distributors who they would be undercutting. As you can understand this would be bad for business.

Good news if that they will probably have another group buy in the fall or winter.
