Kev M asked for pics of my tail light lit and with the brake applied in another thread. Rather then high jack that thread entirely, I figured I would post it here.

Anyway, the pic below might show what you were looking for. The top shows with ignition on. Bottom shows with brake applied.

I don't think the photos do it justice. It's really much better in person. I also put a video up on www.youtube.com (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPKc0AVNHoU):

Hope that's what you wanted to see Kev. If not, I don't think your far away, we can meet up and you can see for yourself.

Thanks for going to the trouble of doing that. I'm sure a lot of folks appreciate it....

... even if Kev won't acknowledge your kindness! You just gotta expect that out of him.

Yea, a little windy and nippy today. Kev had BETTER appreciate me getting of my lazy azz and going out to do this. ;)

I think I've posted most of this before, but for completeness sake, this is the Kuryakyn LED low profile tail light from JP Cycles (http://www.jpcycles.com/productdetail.aspx?PID=340-089). The turn signals are the HD 69463-06 conversion kit. The relocate kit/laydown license plate is from Great Bike Gear (http://www.greatbikegear.com/). Not affiliate in any way to anyone above. Just passing it along.

AWESOME dude, that's EXACTLY what I was requesting, muchos gracias.

Yeah, we're in the same state, so maybe we can see it in person some time!!!

The video was perfect because you get an idea of relative brightness, PLUS you even see the difference in light-on rate between the incandescent turn signals and the LED tail light.

Thanks again.

Where is the little "bite-me" icon ;)

I'm sure you're just giving me a hard time, but if you're not, I'd love for you to back that statement up. :p :D

I'm surprised you didn't see it, bud. It's right there next to the one for stirring up a pot of shlt. :) ;)

Lighted license plate frames are also available. To some, lots of extra lighting might seem "geekish" - until the F-250 runs over the top of you at a stoplight. They can maim you for life, even kill you. Their out is a simple, "I didn't see him.". A traffic citation and they walk away.
