Has anyone tried the screaming eagles perfomance mufflers with out remapping and adding the Stage I air cleaner on the 2007 Sportsters? I have a 2007 1200 Custom. I want to upgrade but wanted to see if anyone has had any issues with this scenerio.

I have stock mufflers that have been modded to flow like the SE mufflers. I am going to add a K&N air filter very soon. The bike runs great. Do a little searching, NHRS has done a stage 1 on an 07 883 and put it on the dyno. He reported that the air/fuel ratio is very good so no remap was necessary. They have a lot of good info.

Thanks for the info TJ. I heard the same from a non HD dealer, but he said there may be a little backfire on deacceleration without remapping.

I've added the new SE slipons without any problems at all. I've heard that changing the air intake and filter requires remapping. I'm satisfied with the performance of the bike just thought it was too quiet for a Harley. Adding the SE's was a good choice for me .. not too loud but has that nice Harley rumble.
