I have a 5 3/4" H4467 sealed beam from a 91- looks lilke the plug in would be for an H4 3 pin bulb. Want to upgrade output to 100W - any ideas about the reflector, a source for same and any other upgrade tips without replacing the whole light with an 05 ?

I'm not sure about that, but what I DO know is that you will be much happier if you get the '05 headlight, and add a Sylvania Silverstar H4 bulb to it. Keep yourself from hitting one deer or oncoming car by having this set up, and you'll be glad you did.
You could do it all for under a hundred bucks, or so. If money's tight, you might be able to get away with using the Sylvania bulb in the one you have now, and then buy the '05 later, but somebody else who knows the pre-'04's better than I do needs to comment.

Here is what you need. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=014&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=330006439476) Seventeen bucks, and plug-n-play replacement for your sealed beam.

I think you will be quite pleased with this lamp, especially compared to a std US sealed-beam. Judging from the lens, this light is going to have a typical e-code beam pattern with a sharp cutoff to the left and a nice flare up to the right which illuminates signs and objects on the side of the road.
Heck, if I did much riding at night I'd probably get one for my new Sportster. As it is, the OEM lamp with a selective yellow H4 bulb is sufficient.

the Ebay item is made in India and looks ok- the seller will substitute a different H4 bulb ( 100 high beam) for a small additional charge.
Note when installing the reflector- the 3 "tabs" around the reflector don't match up with the sealed beam 's slots in the rubber "ring" mount - you have to cut 3 new slots in the rim of the rubber mount to line up with the reflector tabs. Since the rubber has a top locating tab, you can't just rotate the mount to line up two of the slots or your light will not be correctly oriented for beam.
total cost reasonable at about $25 but the "fiddle factor" in adapting the HD original light mount will put some people off. Don't know which years used this rubber ring mount for the headlight lens- mine is a 91

That's interesting. If your bike had a std 5.75 inch sealed beam, his lights should fit with no modifications based on the description in his e-bay listing.
How do you like the output and beam pattern?
