I paid my taxes today, cost £530 all in (we get a free 1000 mile service in the UK, though we pay more up front), the stealer even lent me a Sofatail Deluxe for the day. I got pestered by every passer-by and white van man in a way I don't get on the sporty - if I had to ride a BT, I'd need shades and an attitude just so people'd leave me alone! Suprisingly the suspension was better than the stock sporty, but it did take me back to my truck driving days....

The difference with the XL is unbelievable, big grin factor! As well as enjoying the glorious racket, rolling on the throttle produces pull, not the vibes and rattle I got when it was stock.

The gearchange is a lot better now the primary chain's been adjusted too.
