Has anyone received a Race Tuner kit that was lacking datalink cables?

I had to return to get the above mentioned cables. When I first received the box it only had the CD and an adaptor. the motorcycle link and the PC com link were missing. After a freindly reminder of just how much I've spent on my new purchase, a sympathetic eavesdropping wrench fetched me the cables, and no one in the store was very concerned about it.

I've read past posts about Harley-Davidson conspiracy theories suspected over such things, but it never hurts to just persuade someone into forking over the COMPLETE product purchased!

I just hope that this will prevent someone from getting denied access to the data specs of his legally purchased big ticket items.

As for my complete datalink kit, now I can make a legal backup copy of my current map. Also, I will be able to more closely monitor the most critical engine parameters! This is what was advertised and this is what I conveyed to them that I wanted, when I insisted on my missing items.

Now, I might be wrong on this as it was about 6 months ago, but when I was working at my local dealership, I'm pretty sure I was told that the tuner and the cables were going to be sold seperately, and at none too small of a penny either.

Check the SE catalog, I'm almost positive they are sold seperatley.

I was actually surprised how eagerly they coughed-up those cables...of course I could manufacture the cables, but that would be a PITA because I would need a datalink connector as well as the proper pinout diagram for the terminals!

Now if only they could get the part for the voltage regulator refit, I could FINALLY pick up my bike and download the Race Tuner maps.

The cables are sold seperately, look at the Current Screaming Eagle Catalog, it has the part #'s listed seperately and shows it in the catalog.

I was told that the older race tuners, part # 32107-01E came with the cables, but thet the later, current, 32107-01F does not come with them.

I got part# 32107-01E mfg. 04/20/06. The application data states that it will fit:

01 later EFI softails
02 later EFI touring models
04 later EFI Dyna
02 later VRSC models

Now I don't know if I am lucky to get the older model tuner WITH cables or unlucky because I don't have the latest product!
Maybe the only difference between the two parts is the mention of 07 and later Sportster models???
I imagine that the Race Tuner The stealer installed for me is compatable to the 07 883c, because it was approved and installed on the bike even before the break-in period.
Of course I have yet to even ride this bike because of the voltage regulator recall (still waiting for a new bracket), and I only have the word of the mechanic that it has a performance gain.

:cry1 ARE WE THERE YET???:cry1
