An Advisory Panel! No I haven't, Mustang, but I do get my share of mail from them. Maybe there is something on their website that explains what they are up to. I would venture it's for marketing purposes.

Never heard of that before. I know they sure like to survey me though, I have been called by three different people in the last couple weeks just to ask me how my service dept experience was. Told 'em it was great till I started getting all these calls

I just got the same letter, and was curious if you had tried it out to see what it is about. I'd be willing to offer my opinion on some things, and like to "be eligible to recieve a special gift from Harley-Davidson."

they're trying to keep in touch with the people that buy new Harleys and use the dealers for service..... this does not always provide them with an accurate cross section of Harley riders... more, it provides them with a cross section on people that buy new bikes comparing the HDs with the Japanese and European bikes, making them all just a little more alike :(

You're right, but its easy to see why HD is more interested in people who buy new bikes and spend $$ in their dealers than people buying used bikes and doing their own service.

I've not receiveda letter, but get a phone call about every 6 months. Always a lady asking me survey questions about my experience with products, experiences with dealerships I've been to, thoughts on possible improvements, etc.

I hate being bothered by the telephone, and would SOOOOOO like to switch to the letter method so I could provide input at a time convenient to me. Plus, I've never received any of these "special gifts" everyone's talking about!
