As long as we don't have anyone crashing on us (:laugh) we can all do both a twisty and a mellow run on Saturday or break off into two groups and do one of each. We would also be able to do a sunset run on Friday night if we want. I've got several runs in mind, there are tons of options I have no doubt we can make everyone happy :).

Otherwise we need to all wear the same shirts or something. :DThat was the Miracle Ride benefit for Reily Children's Hospital. It's the same weekend every year so it'll be happening again and I'd assume BHD will sponsor a start point like last year. It's a great cause, I wonder if maybe we can get the XLF to set up a contribution fund drive and we could deliver it in the name of the XLF? I think I'll PM bert and see if it's possible. I have no interest in riding in a group that size, but we could give, that would be cool. :)

I still wonder if we left anyone behind last year because of the meeting issue? I am not certain if I will be able to make it this year. Hopefully I have will have a full time job seeing that I am finishing college in may and have no idea where I am going to get a job. I would love to go one the ride again. I will try to get other members involed from the southern end of the state.

Well Bert gave this idea the stamp of approval today :clap . I don't know if it'll get too far but I'm gonna give it a try and see what happens. There's a bit of technical stuff to set up to make it all safe and secure, but I'll get that worked out in plenty of time to give the forum an opportunty to donate if they want. We'll see..... :)

Well I finally got around to fixing the brake light problem that plagued the 77 during the run last year. The loom I had around the brake light wire shifted and rubbed through the insulation shorting the wire on the fender, and melting the oil pressure sender wire and the tail light wire together, thus making my brake light stay on all of the time.

I WILL be on the 81 this year. It has proven its self worthy of the trip. We will have to make lots of gas stops though. Now all I have to do is figure out a way to tie every thing onto it. LOL

That'll be good for dinner and beers, but I don't think they do breakfast in the restraunt. However, they have hot biscuits and gravy at the convenience store part of the place in the morning. There's a BP up the road that does breakfast sandwiches and what-not too. Probably better than the McD. :)

Nah, no biggie, a couple blocks of ice and some hefty bags will be a good start and then we just have to add a little ice every now and then. I'm thinkin' it'd be a cost effective strategy but I'm game for anything :).

The only problem I see with a keg is what is going to happen to it while we are out riding?

To keep this thread up on top for a while let's share with the rest of the forum our favorite memory of the get together last year. I will start with mine.

My favorite would have to be the twisties Phil led us on, the speed we carried through them along with the braking, downshifting, the leaning and the mirror watching to see who was behind you. It was pure adrenaline at times. Another was a fav of mine which happened to just me was when Greg, Rob, Phil and myself left the park after dinner, Greg and Rob got out ahead of Phil and I and Phil and i got stuck behind a boat exiting the park, as soon as we cleared the boat I let it rip to catch up with Greg and Rob, I came hauling up Fairfax Rd busting through gears and hammering it only to look in my mirror and see Phil was right behind me. Just some of my memories to share, let's hear yours!

Hooty:smokeThe event is on the XLF calendar and folks can RSVP there.

I have my reservations. I may bring a friend or two.I have my reservations too, but I'm still gonna hang out with you barbarians :laugh. Seriously though, we already have the group site reserved so you shouldn't need reservations. Make sure they know you're with the XLF or you might not get the group rate :). Glad to see your going to camp this year.

I just noticed on the RSVP page that you only show up as going on the day you click so to see everyone you have to look at each day separately. Hmmm, doubt there's any way around that. :)
