I have a 07 883C with a keyless security system. Someone gave me a
gadget to trip redlights that is supposed to be mounted on the bike and does something to the magnetic field of the light. Will this interfere in any way with the security system?

It shouldn't. The security system works with a transponder, which emits an rf frequency when close to the bike, like the toll passes for the freeways or like the Mobil Speedpass... The light trigger is nothing more than a strong magnet....

Thanks. I had no clue. Didn't want to mess up anything.

Do those magnets work on the lights, or is it just the power of suggestion?

I have a green light trigger on my bike, had it for about 2 years now. Some lights in my town didn't change when on the bike before, now they do. Some still do not. So, I'd say it helps, but it's not foolproof....

There is a light close to my home that would make me wait until a car came before it would change or I would run it. I got the Signal Sorcerer and I don't have to run the red light anymore. Best $25.00 I spent on my bike. http://www.signalsorcerer.com/

I attached the signal sorcerer to my Sporty, I have the hands free FOB security and there were no problems.
The day I tried out the signal sorcerer wouln't you know it that every red light that I had, had problems with in the pass when I got to that intersection a car was there. But if it only works on a few thats better than sitting waiting for a car or over heating the bike.
