Today I finally got to take the bike for a 20 mile ride since installing the white bros. fork spring lowering kit. To recap, I already had a rear shock lowering kit installed that dropped the rear 1", so even though the white bros. kit allowed for a 2" drop, I chose to go with 1" just to level out the bike.
Anyway, she rides sooo much better now. No more front end dive due to the crappy stock springs and the handling is awesome. Huge improvement. Feels like an entirely different bike. Until now, I didn't realize just how shitty the stock front fork springs really are. I'm sure everyone has heard this before, but I highly recommend swapping out the stock springs for aftermarkets whether it be progressive or white bros.
Again, the kit I went with also lowered the front, but they do have regular spring replacement kits available that are just a spring swap rather than lowering the bike. I believe Turbota posted a very detailed how-to for a regular fork spring swap. I'm not going to bother writing a how-to for the lowering kit because the instructions that come with the kit are excellent, but please remember that Turbota's how to does NOT apply to a fork spring lowering kit.

Pretty cool! I was debating on whether or not to do that with mine at some point, now I think I will. Thanks for the pic!
