For those familiar with the XR motor, it uses connecting rods that are shorter than your standard 1000cc iron sportster.

I heard that evo rods can be used in XR applications. Is this true? As you can imagine, it's pretty hard to find XR rods anymore. So, this would be a blessing.
Thank goodness S&S still makes cranks.:o

S&S doesn't make rods? What good are new cranks without rods? There is always Carillo.

Yes, Evo & XR1000 rods are the same part number.
