Clutch cable removal

Hi all! Trying to install slip on chrome covers on my 05 883C. Any tips on how to remove the clutch cable? The intructions that came with the kit suck and don't really explain the details on how to remove the cable. I opened up the derby cover and can see where the cable engages, but from there I'm at a loss. Can anyone out there help me? Thanks, I love this forum!

Do you have a manual? It explains the clutch cable removal pretty well. I just changed mine to braided yesturday.

No, I guess that should be my next purchase but I was hoping this was going to be a simple add-on.
