Don't know wtf is going on here but advice appreciated.

Problem:

After logging into the Forum and 1 other Forum I can look at a couple of threads and then try to reply or even go to another page and I find that I am logged out again.

This problem occasionally happens with v2 but rarely.

I assume it's a setting of some kind that's wrong so if anyone can help that would be great. Happens on work and home pc

Logout and then clear your Internet Cache and all xlforum.net cookies. This should fix teh problem.

I too have noticed this. I was assuming (and we all know... :rolleyes: ) that it was a time-out/inactivity setting somewhere in the server OS.

I also did the clear cache/cookies thing for another problem, but still get logged out after being away (i.e. following off-site links in posts), sometimes as little as 5-10 minutes.

This happened too me one time about 1-2 weeks ago. I just logged back in, and it never happened again. I know bert had been doing some upgrades so I just chaulked it up as that :smoke

Same problem here Carl... and I don't even think it's 10 minutes before I get logged out...

Biggest problem and the most frustrating one is when replying to a thread, spend a few minutes typing a reply, go to post it and find I am logged out and have to start all over again! :censor

I kind of have the same opposite problem. Both work and home PCs stay logged in to XLF, but v2 logs me out everytime I leave.
