Thanks xl1200r 4th February 2007, 21:49 Mike, I know for a fact you can. You just need to make sure you scuff and prime them first, and make sure you use plenty of flex agent in the paint to keep it from cracking. xllent01 4th February 2007, 22:40 Mike, I know for a fact you can. Just gonna say the same thing, flex is real important when painting plastic, don't really need alot, just keeps the paint from peeling off in sheets when the plastic gets stressed. justice720 24th January 2008, 09:02 go get it done.. a custom shop will paint those parts very cheaply. probably for about 150 plus paint. .that is if you haven't painted before. if you're really stubborn and want to do it your self make sure you practice on something, like a cheap bumper from the junkyard.. practice.. PuddlePirate 25th January 2008, 03:27 I tried asking around BADWEB for several months before finally giving up. The best answer I got was what people are posting here, use flex agent. Let us know how it goes. I'll be doing my XB plastics along with my metal tank and rear fender here sometime after I can get my XB rear wheel/tire swap done. I'd love to hear firsthand from you after you get r done. bluemule24 8th April 2008, 06:18 can you paint the plastics (fender, windscreen, lower scroud, and air filter cover) on a XB and if so how do you go about doing that?
