What's the difference between this e-bay conversion kit

and the Nallins conversion where they bore your cylinders and have the 10:1 hurricane pistons. Both are around 500 bucks.
The kit on ebay has new cyliners where the nallins wants you to send your cyliners in to them for boring. Is that the only difference. Not wanting to do head work or cams.
Any info you guys provide would be appreciated...Thanks!

THere is nothing wrong with either of these kits. Nallins wil take a little while of down time since you will be shipping your cylinders in to have them bored and fitted to the new pistons. I think the Nallin kit is also a 1250 cc kit, but could be wrong. Nallin uses great pieces in their kit. The one on eBay is a pretty straight forward conversion kit. I don't know much about the Sifton Pistons or what kit(brand) of cylinders they use either. One other option would be to buy the Screamin Eagle pistons, Screamin Eagle 1200 cylinders and a gasket kit from HD. Most dealers will give you 20 percent off of these parts if purchased at the same time and you ask. If not there is always Chicago HD.

If NRHS is boring the jugs, it's not a 1250 kit. I think they need different jugs to get to 1250. Also, if the jugs are bored, they're bored to a closer tolerance to the exact pistons that you will be using. And by using 'used' jugs, they have already been 'seasoned.' That means that they have already distorted from many heat cycles. New cylinders are more likely to warp, leaving the hole not round.
IMO, you're better off having custom work done, sizing your cylinders to the new pistons. Tossing off the shelf parts on isn't the greatest way to build an engine.

You may find that the kit on eBay is "mass produced", i.e. off the shelf pistons, and boring the jugs to "spec". This tends to lead to loose fitting pistons, with lots of noise. A big advantage of having your jugs bored to fit the pistons, is that they will fit tighter, last longer with less blow by.
Before you go down this path, I recommend you give Nallins a call. Depending on what kind of peformance you want out of your bike, you may not need headwork or cams.
I purchased a set of "take offs" jugs off eBay, and had LoneEagle (local Indy), bore and hone to fit my KB pistons, total cost was about 550.
