Does anyone have any info on the racing bike made in the 60's and early 70's which was designated the XLRTT. I am looking for bikes, photos, manuals, and parts. I know the history.

The book I mentioned has a lot of pics (bike, engines, etc.) and some pretty good techincal info. http://xlforum.net/vbportal/forums/showthread.php?t=24735 DLM32 26th January 2007, 14:42 Check out: www.harleykrxlrtt.com DLM32:D Matt 26th January 2007, 19:17 Adding to what MDT and GOTWA posted find any thread by Frenchowl (Patrick) for videos and pics of vintage HD and any book by Alan Girdler. Girdler has a street legal XR750 and really knows Sportys. Matt thefrenchowl 28th January 2007, 15:38 Hi, KwblueI am looking for bikes, photos, manuals, and parts. Hum, Bikes AND parts... I've been trawling eBay for the last 5 years for XLRTT stuff, only specific item (as opposed to what's common between KR and XLR and period transfers...) I came across was a set of NOS in boxes racing 1960 inlet valves and got them on the cheap "buy it now" price.. Over the years, having one, I came into contact with a few old owners that had all parted with their race bikes, and know of very few in collectors hands... a rare beast indeed... Little short update on mine: front wheel brake is being redone with race linings, paint's will be on its way next week, I'll post later some other update on the XLRTT thread... Patrick kwblue 31st January 2007, 06:05 Thanks guys, I really liked the photos. I have one of Alan's books called Harley Racers. It is well worn, but it has some neet stuff in it. Lucky for me it was signed by Chris Carr, Scotty Parker, Ricky Graham, and a whole bunch of other riders. I doubt I could either find or afford one,but to me they are way cool. the idea of making one out of my bike keeps popping in my head. Imagine a 350# XLRTT1200S! XL 50 31st January 2007, 06:20 I seen a new xlr on the showroom floor. It was red and white. It looked similar to the new xlch next to it, which was also red and white. The most noticable difference was the seat, since neither had lights, etc. I liked the xlr seat so much I put one on my '48 Pan which took first place in a bike show. thefrenchowl 4th February 2007, 14:44 Hi, kwblue, Added recently on my site a small article I wrote some years back on how I found my XLRTT... http://www.harleykrxlrtt.com/find%20a%20racer.htm Hope you all enjoy it...
