Anyone know how much shorter a set of progressive 11'' shocks are over a set of sock XLC shocks are, if any? I want to bring the @ss end down, but I dont want to wreck the rideablity. I'm thinking of going with the progressive 440's. Thanks for any help.

I talked to the guys at progressive about this very thing. I have a 2003 1200C, the stock shocks are 11.5" The shortest shocks that they have are 11". He said that the seat height should drop by almost 0.5". You should get some lowering springs also, I think that should lower the seat height also.

when i replaced the stock shocls with 11" 412's, the stock ones were 11 3/4" eye to eye.
it lowered the bike notcably, almost 1" i think.
progressive only recommend the 440 at 12", so you will be raising your bike, not lowering it.

cheers
