Hey everyone! I've lurked here for about a year, and have a 1980 XLH 1000 that I have been kicking around. There is a lot I would like to do to it, but the problem is that everytime there is a nice day, I scramble to put it together so I can ride it. I've had bikes for twenty years, then tried to give it up for a few years, but just can't seem to do it. I bought this sportster cheap just for something to do.

I'm a fairly good wrench, and won't bug anyone with dumb questions, I hope. I'm not looking to make a custom chop of any sort, just a decent daily rider that is reliable on the road. I would rather ride than be stared at. I'll try to behave myself the best I can here!

Thanks to all for the great welcome! I'm from Edmond, just north of OKC. This is a very friendly forum!
I have some parts coming from eBay, and some wiring problems to sort out, but I hope to be on the road before spring. I'm trying my first attempt at a real paint job, and will post some pics soon. Again, thanks to everyone!
