Im new to the ironhead world, my spelling sucks, and probaly other parts of life, but what the hell. Im 44 years old, fat old and stiff, maried to a girl that is hot as hell and dont deserve her "dont tell her" been riding for a short time, I did not buy my first bike untill I was 15. I have a little understanding of motor's. most of the time it was Mopar's.... had a few bikes, mostl y Jap. bike have a real nice 97 lowrider in the garage that I bout of a old guy a few years ago... but I went with a freind down to his parents house in south florida this weakend, we were going thru his dad's shop and I saw a old iron head sportster. Not sure of the year but cool looking in it's stock form. It looks like a time warp, the bike shows 30k, bought from a dead freinds widow,He thinks it's a 900, looks later to me. god awfull handle bars, blikers, Nice shape! Want that bike.... Im seeing a wider front end.. don't know it I need to weld to put on or not. Do not undrstand the rake, drag, consept, going by my cool meter if it can be done. Has not been tagged since 96. I think it is mid 80s. Very cool looking. Spoke whell in back, not so hot cast spoke in front. Dont know crap about these types of bikes. Had a Buell that ran like hell several years ago. Want to see this thing being saved from the dead. Can pick it up for gas.... going to do it. but before I spend the hot ladies death fund. What will it take? The problem that it was parked with is the oil tank would drain and show emty. then be overfilled. Sounds like the check valve in the oil pump to me. Or is it above? Looking for someone smarter then me to point me in the right direction. This shouts retro and Im all in.... sorry, retro is a bad word. Just a real guy with a great project in the works.

Thanks, Don
