Welcome from southern California and Norfolk, Virginia. I loved Italy, was at Aviano Air Base near Venice, and did a NATO tour at Naples. Great seeing towns like Pordenone, Sacile, Venice, Bibione beach, Naples, Rome, Verona, etc. It's very scary the way people drive in Naples, and I thought the northern part of Italy was much nicer than Naples.

Anyway, I also have a 2005 1200R, check out the pics in my gallery, and welcome!

You have visited north and south Italy... you have missed the best region: the one in the middle (Tuscany):D :D

Welcome from California, Simon! Your English is excellent and I wouldn't worry about it. Could you imagine if we all tried to post in Italian?
Anyway, you found a good place to hang out.
