Thought I would share a photo of my project in progress.
1988 XL883D, 45 degree rake, 9" over narrow springer,
1200 conversion with fully ported heads by
HeadQuarters.

Electric and carb work remaining, I have a Super E
with an 'Indian head' air cleaner. Something to
remember Larry by.

It was raked when I got it, bike in a box deal.
But it was done by a place in Delaware. It
was a pro job for sure I can't tell where the
joints are.

Paughco hardtail would be my choice too if
I had to do it from scratch.

Looks good overall, but I would cut/loose that rear fender.

Nice start.

Yea, I'm not crazy about the fender either
It's there until I complete the build and
get it on the road, then I be looking to
fine tune the look.

Very nice, very nice! I want mine to look like this! Can you show us the springer from the front?
