View Full Version : Hallo aus Essen
Xldevil 13th February 2007, 09:58 Hey.
I almost missed to introduce myself.
Now I'm going to make up my mistake.
My name is Ralph.I'm living in Essen/Germany.
I ride and work on motorcycles more than 30 years now.
Way back in 1975 I saw "Easy Rider".From that day on I wanted a Harley.
Being not old enough for a Pan or Shovel,I'm riding a tuber Buell and a Sporty.
For me, the X-engine is the best motorcycle engine ever invented.
It's as brilliant as it is simple. It's so easy to work on and has almost unlimited possibilies.I really like working on it as much as I enjoy riding it.
Not to forget, that the way this high torque V-twin produces its power is incomparable. It's the last surviving long stroker dinosaur in this world of boring short strokers.
I hope you will forgive any current or future misspelling and strange phrases that I might use,but I'm not a native english speaker.
Ralph

Thanks a lot for your welcome!
@Aldra treibst Dich auch überall rum:)
@Matt &Snuffy,special thanks for you.
@Sean,if you intend to ride a bike in Germany;beware of the german cops. They are always after bikers, especially when riding loud pipes on Harleys.
Maybe you would like to join a very nice german HD forum.
Let me know. That would give you some infos in advance.
If you will need any support or like to meet some kind HD and Buell riders during your stay in Deutschland, send me an email.
@paralegalpete,lucky you,I would really love to live in the US or Canada.
@em,have you been to the Essen Rockpalst concert nights in the 70's?
I have been to FL in 1993,what a beautiful state.
My sister lived in Tampa for a long time. She moved to New Orleans 5 years ago.She sill lives there.
@Craig.Don't worry.I got you.You have to pratice if you want to improve.Never use translation programs. They are bullsh..

emzdogz 15th February 2007, 02:23 @em,have you been to the Essen Rockpalst concert nights in the 70's?
Hi Ralph, yes!! I went to one. We saw, if you can believe this, The Grateful Dead opening for the WHO! I also think we saw Donovan open for YES with Rock Wakefield.
Not sure if that 2nd one was a RockPalasstNacht or not. I think that's what they called it, no?
We went to other concerts at the place there in Essen. "Grugehalle?"
Good memories. Long ago.
Again, nice to meet you.
:)
