This motor has been under construction in the shop recently, got it done yesterday and on the dyno today.

I'm not at liberty to say a whole lot about it. It's 82ci, we did the whole motor, ported the heads, designed and built the exhaust. We were hoping for 140hp and I still think we'll get there. The customer was up against a time limit and we left a little on the table just out of time constraints. But it'll be back in the shop multiple times over the coming year.

Last year it had less than this by a decent amount, and he ran a best of 10.12 @134mph. I want to see him run a 9 this year. No wheelie bars, no air shifter.

The guy who owns that motor just ran a 10.194 at Phoenix.

Phoenix is not a fast track, I'm expecting 9's at Woodburn or Seattle. The bike can do it.

Aaron ... I gather he's got that set up just for racing????

Lowered.,, strut instead of rear shock.....forks stiffened internally and pushed up thru the trees???

Yup, pretty much!

Spec fuel: 100 octane. The motor is only 13:1. Bike has to be street licensed and legal. No air shifters or wheelie bars, but up to a 68" wheelbase (he's at 67, +12 swingarm). Street legal tires. Stock port heights, no raised port heads. No dual plugs. 8lbs per ci minimum weight, allowing up to 98ci, with rider, so he has to ballast it up quite a bit (he only weighs about 150lbs himself). One carburetor (he's running a D). Charging system required. Heads-up class, no index. Pretty fun and very competitive. Last year he won 2 races. He's still learning, but improving.

Will be cool to see the 9's...must be Hot Street in AHDRA ..and when winning there's a little contingency from Buell for the after parties ;)

Yup ... he's in Bakerfield at the moment. Qualified 2nd, with a 10.14, .06 off the pace. But he doesn't have the jetting sorted out, I can tell by his speeds. He's got the bike to win the thing, he just needs to put it all together.
