Hello to everyone, all hail from southern idaho. I am stoked to be here I have spent a ton of time surfing to web, checking things out for my sporty. Have to say this site kicks every other site's a** by a roman mile.

I am pretty green and new to riding, have only been riding since last July. To be totallly real and honest I never had any plans to own a motorcycle untill last summer. I had some money saved from my tour and was planning on putting a nice lift (with all of the trimmings) on my jeep. Gas prices had me pretty freaking depressed and I did not want to turn my only vehicle into a gas hog. I started looking at motorcycles, wandered into a HD dealer and long story short three weeks later I was signing papers on a brand new 1200C. Have been loving it ever since. Introduced my girlfriend to riding two up and she is digging it just as much if not more than me. We did a ton of all day rides and one three day trip last summer. I just took my bike off of the trickle charger this week and have been taking it out around town. Gotta say I am itching for some good riding weather as my bike has been in the garage since last october (idaho winters aren't espically condusive to riding.)

Right now my bike has 3400 miles with SE slipons, detachable windshield mustang solo seat with passange pillon, detachable sissy bar with comfy back rest for my girl. I am planning on rejetting the carb and installing a big sucker air cleanier next month.
I'll say again, good to be here and looking foward to being a part of this forum.

Welcome to the Forum from Middle Tennessee, Defeated Creek, Difficult and Hoggtown. Have you taken the MSC {motorcycle Safety Course} if not consider it. Its one of the best investments you can do for yourself, rider and the scooter.

welcome from Virginia. congratulations on the new bike. Do take the MSF course. Maybe your girlfriend would like to take it with you. Lots of us ladies have our own sporty.

Negative on taking the MSC (yet), I took my road test and got my licence though. I was planning on taking the course last August. Had my dues paid and a seat saved in the class and everything. Much to my dismay I was called in to work that weekend though. I am planning on taking the course this summer though. My girlfriend has had negative experiances while piloting a dirt bike as a child so does not have big dreams about jumping in head first; she has explained to me she is totally content and happy riding passanger. I have talked to her about going through the MSC when I go through it this summer. She expressed a little interst and I am trying to encourage her but I do not want to get her into something she does not want to do or feel comfortable with.

IRONIC STORY: I work as a full time EMT for the local ambulance department. I have two other coworkers that ride regularly. Both have been riding for years and both are senior paramedics in our department. Out of the three I am the only one to with a lisence.
