Here is one on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Harley-Sportster-Rear-Wheel-Axle-for-3-4-Bearings-Stock_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35569QQihZ012QQit emZ220086013658QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVWQQtcZphoto Shu 25th February 2007, 03:50 Don't know the number, What did you do to yours if you don't mind me asking? While removing it to change my rear tire, it cracked. I have always lubed it with antiseize, but after driving it out for the forth time (fourth rear tire), it finally split. They really should make a driving toll that screws onto the threads (bottoms on the axle) and then has a flat end to drive these axle out without having to use a drift. I called my dealer today to see if they had one in stock and they do not. He claimed it took part# 41563-77A however with the 77 year notation I doubt that is correct because I thought HD changed the axle from 99 to '00 along with the wheel bearings. Anyway, the JP Cycles catalog shows 44563-77A for my 2000, but maybe that is a typo since it is so close to the smae part number. Gary 25th February 2007, 06:45 2003 book says part number 41563-77A Gary Shu 25th February 2007, 06:56 Thanks Gary. I guess they must have only changed to sealed bearings in 2000 and the axle remained the same. None of the dealers I've checked so far (TNT in Quincy, Chicago HD or Zanotti had them in stock). TNT said they could order it, but it could take a week or longer because of the backlog from the strike. |
