View Full Version : User header when posting

I've been wondering about the header info everyone seems to have, and if it's user-editable, or something system generated. For example, some folks have different titles (biker, chief engineer, mechanic, etc.), some have an "XL Forum Team Member" graphic, some have stars (versus wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.).

Perhaps this is the most ridiculous question ever, or has been answered a million times...I've poked around tring to find a thread on the subject, but haven't seen anything.

Thanks,

The biker part will change as the user posts more. As will the stars. They will go to wrenches and screwdrivers and the such. If you see someone (like me) with a way different user title, then they are a Team member and are able to edit it. Just one of the benefits.

If you pay for an annual membership, you become a "Team Member". You gain access to other sections of the forum (like the downloads section), get extra storage on your message box, as well as the ever-lovely patch, delivered right to your door. It's something like $25/yr right now, if I remember correctly. For the amount of info I've gotten from this site, I find it to be a pretty cheap investment.

Edit: Yeah, what Gary said. ...er, what Bert said, I guess...
