Want to start posting pics, but from the directions I need to extract them from my gallery? How do I start my own gallery?

I don't know the "correct" way, but I go to the "XL Photo Gallery" link on the left of the forums (under the Main Menu box), then click on the "upload photos" link on the upper right hand side of the page.

Gronk and Gary and I have all written "Guides to Posting Pictures," though at the moment I can't lay my hands on one of them. I'll dig through the archives (unless either of these fine Mods has 'em handy!) and maybe that will help you. Gronk has several helpful links in his signature line if you didn't catch them, and there hasn't really been anything better written or illustrated than what he has provided!

Just as an aside, once you upload a picture, that automatically starts your own gallery. One recommendation: size your picture with editing software first. I recommend 600 pixel width, both for page size limitations (so you can see the entire image without having to scroll right) and for the benefit of those who use a slow speed connection.

Thanks guys, I got the great step-by-step thread in a search, just didn't know about the gallery thing. I see now what you mean, it goes auto by following the photo gallery info and starts me off. I don't want to screw up and will try posting on th test page first. However, if I browse a saved pic on my computer, the url won't highlight to let me paste it, so I'll just copy it in I guess. I will keep trying until I get that figured out, thanks for getting me going!

I see now, I got a test pic into my gallery, and will try the resizing thing next. Thanks!
