View Full Version : How do people quote more then one quote in a post?

LOL I know I'm asking alot of Q's this week LOL.. But I notice people quote a bunch of people within one post instead of making 100 posts. when i click quote i notice it throws up the person u want to 1st quote but u also see the rest of the previous posts but don't see how to attach more.. Thanks

Down at the bottom of each post is a little icon that looks like this: the multi-quote fuction button

http://xlforum.net/vbportal/forums/images/buttons/orange/multiquote_off.gif

you click that on each post you want to quote and it will bring it into your post. Then you can do what you want with them....like answer each quote in order etc.....

That's the high tech way to do it. I can never remember how to use those fancy advanced controls. When I Multi quote I just press quote on the first post, copy all the text to the windows clipboard, then hit back and hit quote on the second, paste the text from the first , and so on... Works but it's more labor intensive than the fancy way.

That's the way I've done it too -- I didn't even know there was a fancy little button for it down there! :doh
