I have seen these wide glide conversion kit, and I got to wondering what the benefits are. Does it help handeling? Or is it just for looks?

It looks cool. That is it. This is how cool it looks. This is of course true if you like wide glides. Some don't like it and hence they think it looks like crap. All about what you want to see when you look at your bike. http://xlforum.net/photopost/data/500/82new_pic_2.jpg

My '98 has been wide glided. I like the looks. Some people say it negatively affects handling. I doubt any significant negative effects. I like mine.
