I'm thinking right along the same lines. Do you have any idea on the cost for those? I couldn't find a price on the website. There are similar wheels on ebay, I think the vendor is AmericanClassicMotors. They sell them for $399 apiece.

The only question I have is in reference to the spokes. I don't know if the stainless would look as good as the current chrome? Seems to me the chrome/black contrast on the 60 spoke wheel would look great.

I've a white bike and am replacing the chrome ham can with black and was thinking about taking my front wheel apart and having the rim powder coated black, but I'd rather just buy something like this and resell my own wheel -- just don't know about the stainless spokes though. :geek

Those are all the same things i'm going through, my bike is black/white I've been thinking of taking mine apart and having them powdercoated, but with the 60 degree weather we're having in denver, i dont really want to put the bike down for that long, but i'm looking to powdercoating a bunch of other things to, but they can wait till next winter, I've called the company they are supposed to call me back some answering service, we'll see. The stainless would be a lot harder to keep clean if you ask me, I'll wait to see what they say and look for more that are chrome.. I'll let you know what i find or find out

lager did a thread on similar wheels awhile back, I just looked it up for you:

sun wheels (http://xlforum.net/vbportal/forums/showthread.php?t=42228)

They are black with stainless spokes, supposedly very light.
Maybe these would be something for you to consider as well...

Happy reading and good luck!

I almost put those on my bike but decided to go with chrome mags. Now the Nightster has the same wheels but with those Oh so high quality HD spokes:laugh

Those are nice. I like a little color in the wheels to make them stand out. The hub is especially nice the way that the spoke heads contrast.
