Just got hold of a 2600 mile blast for the wife to putt around on, fun bike but way too small for me(6'1 250lbs) but fits my wife fine.

Already pulled all the ugly plastic off and yeanks all the tacky graphics off, planning on doing a wide 140 series tire on it, a exhaust airfilter and re-jet then see if she still ikes it :p

I have ridden it a bit really more than I expected half a sporty motor to be.

Thats cool man. I had to ride one taking the MSF course, it was pretty cool actually. Kinda felt like a dirtbike. Keep us posted as you go, good luck!

Yeah first day we had it she was ironically out there in **your** shirt taking of fthe graphics and the plastic stuff, then she has planns to cut off the passenger peg mounts and do some wild Exhaust. plus she won't let me touch it!!

Good job! I'm looking for one for the wife, too. Unfortunately, here in Texas it's not cold enough for people to want to part with their bikes for a reasonable price yet. I'm not willing to pay more than $2000 for an '01 or '02, and nobody here seems to want less than $2600. Of course, they're not selling them, either - at least on ebay.

Any time you can get the wife to ride it's great, and for her to have her own bike just adds sauce to the mix. My wife won't ride.....she says that it's my space and she doesn't want to interfer. After 34 years of marriage, having one's own space is cool at times.:chop

wait...that is a buell blast? I need a new hobby!

You know, Nallin has a Blast hop-up kit. Hmmmm. ;) The greatest thing about the Blast is popping the clutch and watching the dotted burnouts, ha ha. Cool little bike, though.

I managed to pick my wife up a blast for $2k, it just took me awhile to find someone I could talk down almost a grand. It sure is a cool little bike. Wish my knee wasnt so screwed up I'd ride it more often. It'll pull that front wheel up pretty easy, and stoppies are even easier :tour . My wife has logged around 100 miles on it (still doesnt have a license) and she loves it. Doesnt even want to drive the Sporty.

yeah I picked hers up for $2000 plus a drive to South carolina!
