The plan is to make it up at least to one this year. Probably in July. This will be my first. Might wind up going with 2 of my uncles.

To the guys who have attended in the past.....what can I expect?? Some people say yeah, Go for sure, others say it's like a big damn parking lot.

It's a smaller, and less commercialized version of Daytona. The streets are blocked off to all but bike and resident traffic (the residents have learned not to drive that day, so it's exclusively bikes & cops on the roads). This one won't be as big as the July date, but I figure there'll be somewhere between 50-65,000 bikes; July should bring upwards of 100k.

Long story short, by day it's a giant show & shine (more road warriors than trailer queens) and by night it's a street party. There's plenty of camping at the local school or on friendly residents' lawns (arrange with them BEFORE you set up camp), so no worries about where to crash out - no pun intended.

Personally, I enjoy it. To me, it's a little slice of what the world would be like without cages. We are treated the same as the businessman in the Armani suit. It's really a nice, albeit weird feeling! Of course, the simple solution to your question is to try it once. If you like it, c'mon back for the July one, which will be bigger and better. If you don't like it, then at least you got a good ride out of the deal, and now you know. But that's just my never-so-humble opinion.

Grace, you're what, 2 1/2 hours out of London? I know we've got a few people from there that usually go; you might want to talk to them and see if you can ride in with 'em. It'll certainly make the day more interesting!

If you want to see some pics from previous years or get more info, here's their web site: http://www.pd13.com.

Thanks Casper. Can't make it to the the April date. July is on the agenda. We'll see when the dates gets closer though, don't know if I'll be able to convince my presently bike-less fiance that I'm goin' to Dover solo.

No need to go solo... we'll swing through Kingsville on our way there. :tour (probably take #3 anyway)

I usually go regardless of the weather. Last Fri Oct 13 we road back in a snowstorm. My usual plan is to leave from my home in London at 10:00 AM. I have a route that entirely avoids highway 3, all quiet paved back roads, no towns like Delhi and Simcoe to go thru.

If you want to meet me in my driveway or have a look at my route PM me for more info.

I couldn't get July 13th off so I must make it to this one!
This will be my 7th Friday 13th. It's great! And April is a good time to kick off the riding season.
Weather is supposed to be about 10c, no rain in the forecast. I'm riding out with 3 buddies, although I'm sure at least one will suck out if it's less than 15 degrees out, even though he has a windsheild and heated grips!
I'm looking forward to it.

With a forecast of a high of 43 degrees and 40% chance of rain and snow...I'll have to skip it and make the 2 hour ride on July 13th. Was planning on going in April (weather dependent)..
