What is the loudest slip-on for the 07 Sporties? I've heard that the SEII are loud but I think they don't make them any more for the 07 models. is there much difference among 2004-2007 models or can I use a 2004 slip-on on a 2007?

cycle shack? and yeah you can use 04 slip-ons just not 04 full because you need the O2 sensor

I have D&D on my 07 they are really loud with a good sound. Parts guy at Harley dealer told me to stay away from the SE said I would be disapointed told me go with D&D.

Why would you want the loudest? Anyway, just a note that I have the new 50 state street legal SE's and they are loud but not annoying to the neighbors

I just put a set of stock pipes without baffles on my GF's 07. they are nice and loud.
I imagine you could use any 04-07 slip on--you just have to reuse the stock head pipe b/c of the sensor. I posted the same question.

One way to go loud, is to get the 2" Slip-On Drag Pipes from Leo (http://xlforum.net/vbportal/forums/member.php?find=lastposter&t=44571) and take out the baffles. Lots of other threads here about why drag pipes rock or suck, but to your original question - its how to get loud!

I went from stock to de-baffled to V&H straightshots. With the baffels, these are LOUD and sound GREAT. I have lined up 10 bikes with different pipes at our dealer weekend event, and found I like (subjectively) the V&H straighshots and the SEII's. Of course, other great sounding pipes are out there, so, if you can do something similar at the dealership this weekend, it might give you the comparitive "material" you need to make what is a subjective and personal choice.
Good luck, and remember, "Loud Pipes Save Lives" is more than a saying...it's an excuse.

Rush slip on's. Not the loudest, but they sound the best IMO. They have different size interchangable baffles so you can adjust for sound and performance. mine are the 2" baffles and they sound great. Very deep rumble, a true harley sound.

Lots have told me my vance and hines slip on's are very loud, I don't know how others sound, I don't think mine are very loud, I'm used to drag pipes but the V&H's sound real good and not too ridiculous. I also have no baffles in the slip ons

I have Vance and Hines becaused the guy at the Harley store said I would be disappointed with the SE. I really like the way they sound.

I agree with LilHog, IMO the Rush slip-ons have an awesome sound and can be as loud as you want them to be. I believe that they offer 4 different size baffles for the Sporty. I also have the 2". Really nice low rumble when riding easy but they definatly bark when asked to. For the Sporty they come in straight cut, slash down or slash out. i think they are going for 260 from stealer or around 200 on ebay. Very nice chrome also.

Rineharts sound awesome. A very low, deep, loud, sounding slip-on muffler. I'd get these but I work nights and I'd end up waking the whole neighborhood. Check out this thread:

see post # 139 for a sound clip of the rineharts. In person, they sound much louder.
Peace,
Mark

I have the SE slip-on's on my 883 Low and the baffles come out easily if you have the anti-tamper torx bits. Great sound!:smoke

I have the Rush Slip on's with the 1.75 baffles. Man are they loud and have a nice rumble at speed on the interstate. When asked they will bark pretty loud.
I kept a 1 ton Dodge pulling a pontoon boat from pulling in front of me this weekend by just making them bark. Man did the Dodge's drivers eyes get big when he saw me. Just like alot of cage drivers they do not see us. Be careful!
Rush makes 4 or 5 different size baffles ranging from 1.5 to 2.25. Check out their website.

Agreed, I run the 2.25" slip ons. Love em. Very deep rumblers without that high "crack" to em.

Yep, that's what I have too. I'm very pleased with them. Nice sound. I think they are loud enough, without being too obnoxious (unless you want them to be). :banadevi

RUSH IMO. Others are over rated like V&H.

Cycle Shack's tapered slip ons - MXL130T... tight, explosive low rumble on my '07. Stock air, stock everything, no decel pop, great chrome. If they were stolen, I'd buy 'em again. Less expensive than Rush... $189.00 @ my HD dealer.
