Has anybody had an issue with the HD Run Stop Turn module failing (Part# 69463-06)? I had 2 of them fail one out of the box and the other lasted about 2 weeks.

I was told it could be a short in the rear harness or a blub. I decided it's just not worth taking a chance on, as i have no break light. See my post on how i got arround useing this module.

I had a hidden short that destroyed two of them. I had to inspect the wiring carefully and found the short. I know that it was caused by the way I ran the wires after the fender chop. I pretty much corrected it. I'll revisit the problem after I come up with a better solution.

Maybe you could elaborate on what your problem was and save some others some time and effort by not making the same mistake!

Check out this post i made that is very detailed. It's a failsafe solution and the cost is the same as the RST unit. Plus you get the advantage of LED's, NO WIRES UNDER FENDER, and no module to fail on you.

I got the H-D part and installed as per directions, and have had it on the bike for 2 years now with no problems. I do like the fact that I have much more light back there, I live in a city environment, and every little bit helps. Now, if i can figure out how to get better lighting from the stock headlight, I'll be all set!

Right side rear positive turn signal wire had rubbed through the insulation, very small and easy to miss.
