The wife rode her Blast to work today, and on her way home the Spedo and Odometer quit working. I tried turing it on and off a few times with no luck. I have no idea where to start on this, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think it's electric. Not a 100% sure though. I dont see acable coming out of the back of it, just wires. I could be wrong though.

Do you have a service manual for that buell?
I would asume that engine is pretty much the same as my xb. If that's the case than your speedo is electronic and it could very well be the speedo sensor has some dirt on it, or it has gone south. YOu need to take it out and clean it. I don't have my SM with me (i'm at work) or I could walk you through the procedure.

I dont have the SM, that's why I'm so lost. If you can point me in the right direction I'm sure I could clean the sensor off. I heard they pick up metal shavings as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Look on the right side on top of the crank case, right where the front sprocket is (belt is on the right side I hope? Or otherwise picture where it would be on the right side :) )
You should see a little wire running into the crank case with a little thingy attached to it, secured with a fastener. This is your speedo sensor. Loosen the fastener and you can remove it. You may have to remove a cable strap.
Please note that this is from an XB service manual. I would asume it's pretty much the same but I have never even seen a blast in real life (they don't have 'em over here).
Hope that helps mate.

I was on holiday for a few days.
Doesn't look familiar, I'm sorry I can't help you any further. Seems it is different than a XB.
You should post your question at http://www.badweatherbikers.com, then go to the thumpers section or quick board. Post a link to your pics using
