anyone have idea of the book value of a 2000, 883 would be? may be a neat bike, and its got real and i mean real low miles. and does this year make a good 1200 conversion or do you have to get into the 03 and above to make good gains i see some nice ## hear and i am new to this site but i am interested in one of these bikes again. had an 82 roadster and a 89 883 made it into a 1200 and back then it was quick..
anyway all good advice will be appreciated one other thing do these 1200's have a tendency to vibrate the heck out of the bike and brake things??
kinda want to get near the 100/ 100 #'s so i may need to got bigger
Thanks Happy

Don't know the book value on these things to many factors, you can convert any year evo with good success, ya want 100/100, zippers does a 1200 kit with figures around that its called super Hammer 1200 kit.

It's gotta be cheaper than goin big bore...

The 2000 bike is the same as the 2003, it's the 2004 and up that went rubber mounted to isolate engine vibrations.

You can convert a 2000 just as easily as any. Vibrations are going to be dependent upon how you convert. I have a 2000 with a mild 1200 conversion and I have yet to vibrate anything off of it, but have had stuff blow off from speeds :)

If you are going to absolutely be after the 100/100 power figures, then you might as well find the cheapest bike you can find that looks like you want it to look and then tear the engine apart. And since to get to 100/100, you are most likely going to be buying a re-worked set of heads, night as well buy an 883 and save some cash upfront.
