Hey Goat. I just got back from your area this past weekend. Actually I was in Snuffy's area. A good place to ride is up to Center Hill Lake area. Another would be to go up Hwy 53 to Dale Hollow Lake. Both areas have great scenery and lots of twisties. Yell at Snuffy. I think he's about to start riding again after his operation. You can pm him. I truly wish I lived in THAT part of Tennessee. Everything in the west is flat and straight. I'm not a big canyon carver, I just enjoy the hills, the curves, and the scenery. Have fun.

Hey guys It is good to hear there are alot of Sporty owners in Middle Tennessee. I live in Hermitage and ride to work in Murfreesboro every day.

I have had my Sportster since Fathers day weekend. My wife and kids got it for me from Boswells H-D in Nashville. :banana These guys are great. Wayne in parts has not steered me wrong.

If anyone wants to ride just let me know. I am pretty new to riding and just took the Riders Edge course at Boswells the last weekend in July.

Knoxville myself, moved from murfreesboro 3 years ago. Nashville rules over Knoxville so much more to do, concerts, printers alley, Etc. Although we do have the Dragons tail!!!!

I'm not far from you in Winchester Tn. and I will usually go to Lynchburg probably once a week when I don't have anyone to ride with... There are so many different ways for me to go that it is always a good ride... Oh except for one time before I got my Sporty when I left my sick stand down on my 750 Vulcan, that one sucked...lol...
OK-You E.Tenn. folks talk about the Dragon, well there is also the Devils Triangle (116) out of Petros, then on up in the La Follette, Middlesboro Ky. (74) East out of Middlesboro and wind up on US25W North of La Follette... and then theres Harland, Hazard Ky., then into W.West Va. ...
Mountain City Tn., Elizabethton Tn., Boone, Cranberry N.C., there is no end to the rides in that neck of the woods... No way could you be hunting good rides just get off the darn interstates and ride...
BTW-If 116 ain't enough just hang N.E. at Stainsville on that gravel rd. near the bridge for only about 3 mi and then hang a right on that black top you "T" into and end up down in Caryville Tn., careful going down the mountain though...

I live in Johnson City, TN and I must say, there is great riding 20 mins from my house in any direction. Having moved from Phoenix, AZ, every riding season bears a smile as I twist through the mountainous roads here in TN. Granted there is a helmet law here in TN (and none in AZ), it is still better riding. You just have to get through the winter months, which is hard for me to do!

If you are there then ride it. I don't ride it much any more as there are too many idiots on it and too many LEOs. Riders die on it every year not because it is a hard road but because they ride beyond thier skills. I prefer it on a week day, weekend can be nuts. So, if you are here you have to ride it at least once.
