:frownthre hi guys an gals ,,,,just relocated the speedo from bar mount to side mount of centre motor mount braket ......thought it was a good idea but ultimately dont look no good ..have herd around the traps that some ppl's mount off rear cylinder ???? but have never seen any pik's of this .does anyone have ideas or pik's etc ????!!!!!:wonderlan

I'd like to get rid of the speedo from the bars as well.

Or even replace it with somethin' a lot smaller.

This came about from moving the coil. I modified the battery box to hold the ignition coil, then later also connected the speedo to the same bracket. Buddy of mine did that, used the same bracket I think? made another bracket to mount to the rocker bolts, then bolted the speed to that? I think that is how he did it, he took it off shortly after he made it, cause he said that the speedo was getting real hot, and he didn't want to fry it or burn it up. He had it running one day, took it for a short ride, and I felt it. Could touch it with your bare hand, but not for long. REAL hot.

You figure out how to do it, post some pics.....

On my Mutant I mounted mine on the Rocker Box. Their are not But one person I found that makes rocker box Mounts.

cheers guys am sorta glad i'm not the only one attempting it <thort i was a bit wierd > rofl.appriciate all the input from everyone i like the speedo off the battery and also off the rocker box ,would really like a digital tiny one but it just wouldnt suit the style of the scoot , am trying to get an old skool bobber thing happening down under is a bit hard sumtimes especialy loosing the front guard etc ..cops here are a bit touchy bout things like no blinkers no fenders etc rofl

I realy dont look at the Speedo any ways around here Plus I kinda good a feel for Speedo I jsut put a Speedo on the Bike if the Wife want to ride it a so it will pass the state Inpestion.
