I'm just wondering how much oil everyone else's solid mounts hold without puking out of the breather.

Feel free to post the volume, where it reads on the dipstick, or both.

Thanks!

I drop 3 litres in mine at every oil change (works out to about 3.15 quarts), and I've never had a problem with it. Why do you ask? Are you getting oil spitting out?

3 quarts in the pan, a little in the filter, keep the level between the marks on the stick, the closer to the top mark more chance of blow by or "puke"

Not really, but I have in the past. I have to keep it right at the low mark on the stick to avoid the spitting issue.

I was just wondering how much this varied with other bikes.

I put 3 qts in it and never have puking troubles..... that keeps it right between the marks

Level varies by bike, but this is common....

I run between in the middle between marks, with no oil puke.

In the middle w/no blowback - a little more than 3 quarts cause I run a large automotive bosch filter. 96 xlh1200.

I put just a smidge under three quarts in the last oil and filter change and its perfect right at the middle of dipstick marks.

I had 3 different stealer's tell me that they only use 3 qts total, 2 3/4 in the pan and a 1/4 in the filter and that is all I have ever done and absolutely no problems

I change & prime my filter every oil change. Always takes 3 qts.
, with the prime amount included.
Mark is almost at the top. Never had any spitting probs.
