I have something thst's been bothering me this year. I did lay her down a few times last year, and this year, the front end SEEMS just a tad wobbly..
I have a new lower triple tree to install (because I'd sheared a portion of the stop in one wreck)
Can anyone give me things to watch for that are commonly troublesome? It looks like a whole front end tear-down with new bushings, etc. on the way....love to circumvent that.....
Thanx!

I think the most likely thing is that you tweaked a fork tube (bent it). If you lay it down, the fork tubes, themselves, undergo a major stressing at the junction of the lower triple clamp.
Before I'd check the steering head bearings and triple clamps, themselves, I'd check the fork tubes.

Makes sense, Kim. At some point soon, I'm gonna take the tire and forks off and give them all the once-over....might even have to true the wheel, by the looks of it..

fork fall away.......have a look at your manual and set it up correctly..
You also may have notched/worn steering head bearings....that can be felt with the bike on a lift

Checked and fixed the fall-away...was very slight, but there....
I still wonder about the bearings, and since I have to change the lower tree anyway, might be a good time to look into it....
Don't get me wrong...its VERY ridable.....no one would notice but me (or maybe you, Steve), I'm sure....

You're going faster now too...the corners come up quicker and it puts more load on the front end
