You can add any number of attachments to a post, but when
you reach your total limit you'd have to delete some of the
previously attached pics before adding any to future posts.
When you add an attachment, there is a colored bar showing
how much space you've used in red, and how much space you have
left in green. Hope that helps and if I've missed anything I'm sure someone else
will chime in.

Xena's right. Now, if you upload your photos to a pic hosting site (photobucket), you can attach as many photos as you want (I believe).

Ok, I get it. I guess they're just saving bandwidth. None of the other forums I frequent do that, so I was just curious.
