So I have been told that the heads of a 04 883 will work on the 02 883 That I currently have? the queston I have is what about the mount on the head. do i have to fab one or will my existing mount work? has anyone done this before?

There's no advantage to this swap. The '04 883 heads are no better than your stock '02 883 heads.

I think he is aquiring parts to go stage 3 but doesn't want the downtime.

chrome is right. is what im doing is gathering all the material that I need and in a weekend i will be ready to go.

I put a set of 06 on my 88....no problems

prob going to go with buell heads (stg 3), cams, adj pushrods and 10.5-1 pistons,
not sure on the comp of pistons yet.
