Congratulations to Dan Norlin for his win at the AHDRA round two meet in Phoenix last weekend!
Dan's motor was built in the NRHS shop. It's 82ci (1347cc) and makes around 137hp.
Hot Street is a heads-up Sportsman class, not a bracket class. There's an 8lb per ci rule, so making the most power per ci is the name of the game. The fuel is also restricted to a spec fuel of modest octane, so you can't get real crazy on the compression ratio. The bikes have to be street legal and licensed. It's a highly competitive class.
Dan's final round pass was a blazing 10.324 at 131.64mph, with a .032 reaction time.
Dan won 3 events last year, including the Phoenix, Sturgis, and Woodburn events. This is the first event he's attended in 2007, as he skipped the season opener at Gainesville.
Charlie Douglas won Hot Street at the season opening round in Gainesville. We didn't build Charlie's motor, but we prepared his heads for him, a really nice set of STD's.
