Well Guys I took a risk and bought a left case off ebay. The casting numbers are the same inside the case but the production numbers say it was made in 74.

If I remember my gaskets correctly it should be fine. if not I can have the holes tigged in and redrilled and threaded but lets not think of that :) Now after i replace ever think in these cases includng the flywheels I will be fine.

Update I looked alot at the cylinder that seemed to be flaking. With a few soft taps of a hammer off popped a huge chunk of cylinder It was indeed a crack and it was one of my major oil leaks. So I guess I am starting with bare cases and going with it.

Can I install all these bearings and races myself? Like the flywheel ones and the cam needle bearings?

I am still looking for a set of flywheels guys.

UPDATE I am so happy I got the case today looks fine needs cleaned. Match the cases together and gave them a shove together. Grabbed my decent rear cylinder TIGHT fit but went on and came off. I now have a set of cases time to start finding the flywheels and ect...

I need some expert advise. I am going to buy new cams. If someone could look in there V-twin catalog and pick a nice set of cams for me that would be great. More than stock but no headwork.

The only downfall I found was the drain plug has been helicoiled. Not that bad of a thing :) everything lines up. I know I said it but I am so happy the old iron head may run by this winter :) :clap

I'm no expert on cams so i won't offer a suggestion there. But, keep you eyes on ebay. There always seems to be engine parts available on there.
